DANFOSS MBT 153/120 Series is a cable-type temperature sensor designed for temperature control in industrial cooling-water and ventilation systems. It is engineered for accuracy, durability, and dependable long-term performance in general industrial environments.
The MBT 153 can be used together with the MBT 120 sensor pocket to protect the silicone cable from aggressive media and harsh operating conditions. When combined (MBT 153 + MBT 120), the assembly is referred to as MBT 5253. The series supports a wide operating temperature range and can be specified with Pt100 or Pt1000 resistance elements.
DANFOSS MBT 153/120 Series is a robust cable temperature sensor developed for applications that require accurate, stable, and reliable temperature measurement. It is well suited to temperature control in cooling water and ventilation systems across a wide range of industrial installations.
The MBT 153 can be paired with the MBT 120 sensor pocket (a protective pocket/thermowell) to reduce exposure of the silicone cable to media or environmental factors that may accelerate ageing. When installed as a set (MBT 153 + MBT 120), it is designated as MBT 5253, offering improved on-site suitability and extended service life.
For system integration, the sensor can be specified with 2-wire or 4-wire wiring, and with either a Pt100 or Pt1000 sensing element to match the controller and required measurement standard. This flexibility supports both building services and industrial facilities where control requirements can vary.
